Fortnite Skins UPDATE: New Brite Gunner leaked in 3.6 patch ahead of Season 4 release date
ORIGINAL STORY – Earlier this morning, Fortnite, rather surprisingly, launched their new 3.6 update for Battle Royale and Save the World.
As you might imagine the update contained the usual array of bug fixes to the game and also a host of new items as well, including the new Clinger Grenade.
But as with every update, there’s also a number of secrets hidden inside the game’s code, which having been datamined has revealed a number of new items on their way to the game.
There are new upcoming cosmetics, including new skins, harvesting tools and back bling.
In total there are five items, 4 new. Two skins, one new pickaxe and two pieces of back bling, although one is already available in the game.
It also included the Brite backpack, but it’s believed that will be made available with the new Brite Gunner skin.
These new details were found by TwoEpicBuddies originally who posted the new items on Twitter.
With the update going live today, it’s not clear when these new items could go live in the game, but it’s likely coming in the next few days ahead of Season 4
“Due to an issue discovered with the “Self Refund” feature, we’ll be disabling it until we create a fix and make some usability improvements to the system.”
Epic Games failed to address when the new feature will return to the game, but it seems, at least initially, that the problem might have been more to do with the system proving too popular and getting overloaded.
Prior to it being disabled, Epic told fans:
“We’re working on getting refunds processed for those of you that requested it. Unfortunately, it’s taking a little longer than we’d like, but rest assured you’re going to get a refund.”
Given the number of plates the developer is likely spinning right now – Season 4 launch, the Tilted Towers Meteor ‘event’ – it’s possible any proper fix could be delayed until the next big update, next week.
