In collaboration with Sony Pictures, Ghost Corps and The Void (itself a one-of-a-kind VR experience), Madame Tussauds in New York City will play host to Ghostbusters: Dimensions, giving fans a chance to step inside the film.
The VR experience will be exclusively available at the wax museum’s Times Square location, where visitors will take part in what is described as an authentic ghost hunt. Using props, costumes and other Ghostbusters artifacts, guests will venture through several recreations of the new Ghostbusters. These will be both physical and virtual, making use of The Void’s VR tech in the company’s first film studio collaboration.
It all culminates in a finale drawn from the film, which hits theaters July 15. Recreations of Ghostbusters’ new (all-female) crew will team up with participants to stop a ghost from taking over a virtual New York City.

Sony, The Void and the other collaborators claim that this will be a completely “immersive” experience, although particular details on how Dimensions will work are scant. There’s a short teaser, seen above, that grants a slight look at what fans can look forward to.
